Suntory is back with their annual Zodiac bottlings, and 2019 is the Year of the Boar. 2018’s Year of the Dog bottles were really popular, at least according to the pageviews on this site!
The Suntory Whisky Royal is a ceramic boar, 600ml at 43% abv, and retailing for 8,800 yen.
Suntory Whisky Old features a special boary label, 700ml at 43% abv, and it will go for 1,880 yen before tax. Look for both from November 6!
Suntory, and also Nikka, have been doing these Zodiac bottlings for several years. Perhaps we’ll see similar from other distillers some day.
