Blend of Tokachi celebrates 50 years of Hokkaido’s Tokachi Brandy

Hokkaido’s Ikeda Grape and Wine Research Center has announced the November 20 release of “Blend of Tokachi,” in celebration of 50 years of brandy distillation at the facility. This blend is a result of the facility’s master blender sampling over 300 casks of brandy stored at the facility since production began in 1967. The result is Blend of Tokachi using brandy from seven different casks dating from 1978 to 1994.

The glass bottle for the liquid is imported from France under special order and serial numbered. Only 400 bottles will be available for 16,200 yen each at major liquor shops throughout Japan. 40% abv, 700ml.
